Learn by Doing

The immersion class will meet this Thursday, 5 August at 7:00 pm, at Kean Coffee, 13681 Newport Ave (Main St. & Newport), Ste 14, Tustin. The group will not meet if fewer than six (6) people confirm attendance by e-mail.  

 

 

The Thursday evening immersion class is for those students that have some knowledge of the German vocabulary. It is an informal and social group that meets in a local coffee house or at the Phoenix club where Deutschsprechen (speaking German) is the means of communication. There is no charge, although students are expected to partake in the fare of the establishment in which we meet.

Not all students will be proficient in German, but all are encouraged to speak when they can and listening is equally important. Consulting a dictionary (Wörterbuch) and asking a question (fragen) is encouraged as well.

The mentor will not intercede if the words and grammar are understandable. The focus is on gradual improvement and advancement.
